At Wisteria, we provide a safe platform that empowers individuals to embrace and celebrate their bodies and ignite a passion for social change through the transformative power of art. We believe that empowerment is a tool to gain control and autonomy over a persons life, equipping them with the skills to make informed decisions and assert themselves in both their personal and professional lives. Unfortunately, many individuals are not taught these crucial skills, and often find themselves confined by societal norms, especially those dictated by the gender binary and patriarchy. Society has constructed rigid definitions of self, limiting our ability to express ourselves freely. Topics such as body image, sexuality, ways of communicating, and more often remain taboo despite being essential aspects of the human experience.
